I had the absolute pleasure of sitting directly across from my soul sister Chocolako (yes, on my microphone in Brooklyn!) to record this episode about passion. Choc is an inspiring yoga teacher and wise soul who describes herself as a “spirited glomad with African roots and a rainbow heart.” Since meeting in Bali two years ago, Choc and I have spent hours discussing our hopes, dreams, and passions in life. In the episode you’ll hear Choc share about the importance of finding passion inside your own being rather than seeking it externally. And together we came up with this concept: True desire is a compass turning you in the direction you’re meant to go, and passion is the rocket fuel that catapults you forward. Learn more about how to “turn and turn on” - and our thoughts about passion and sex, of course - in this week’s episode.
Chocolako and I met at Ecstatic Dance at the Yoga Barn in Bali. Wanna go too? Read this. And there’s Ecstatic Dance in lots of other cities too (even ones not mentioned on your site… google search your city!).
Here’s the Oprah quote Choc mentioned: "I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn't been prepared when the opportunity came along, you wouldn't have been 'lucky.'"
Choc is the founder of Yoga Innergy, and will be facilitating a 200 hour yoga teacher training in Morocco with her team this September. Learn more and register here.
